Today’s Electric Car Batteries Can Boost the Running Capacity to 600kms!

Electric cars have come of age and soon the world may see a range of cars that run on battery support. The good news is the automotive batteries themselves are now more powerful, more efficient and pack more features than ever before!

The latest Tesla model S, is slated to go up to 410 kilometers, closely matched by the Chevy Bolt with an estimated range of 380-390 kilometers. The soon to be launched Tesla Model 3 is expected to have a range of 350 to 500 kilometers! Even the recently shown prototype of Nissan, the Nissan leaf 2018 promises 240-300 kilometers!

This is soon going to become better and better. And these cars could well signal the way the future of vehicles could go. As the cars take on new dimensions so have car batteries. Technology and R&D have been poured into them and the outcomes have been stunning!

A leading battery company has come out with batteries containing electrical modules that can be added on to it while on the run. These modules can each take the car for a specific number of kilometers. Today, with all its modules filled the battery to power up the electric car to run 600 kilometers and beyond! That’s almost twice the need of the present cars’ running capacity!

The shift from ordinary cells to prismatic cells heralded the new age efficiency of the batteries. Tesla itself showed the way with development of cylindrical cells capable of holding more power. Now the latest is multi-functional battery pack that enables drivers to remove and add on charged modules to the battery itself, thus taking its power further and further.

What was once in the realms of science fiction is a fact of life now. And, a common occurrence in the future.  These electric cars can well be the answer to air pollution, fine particle pollution and the heating up of the ozone layer issues. The car batteries then are the support that can turn the earth a little greener again.
